Eric Dixon has more than 40 years` experience in Industry, Commerce and Finance. He spent six years in the Commercial Department of one of the British Steel Corporation`s integrated iron and steel making subsidiaries which specialized in the production of railway track materials for domestic and export use.
Mr. Dixon then worked at the Bank of England for 12 years initially involved in currency flows relating to inward investment, the oil industry and offshore tax havens before heading the Oil Industry Research desk in the Bank`s Economic Intelligence Department. He then spent two years in the Bank`s Foreign Exchange Dealing Room and two years supervising the foreign currency exposure of banks operating in London. During this period he was seconded to the London Business School to devise and present an Advanced Development Course for alpha potential managers before leading the Bank`s management development program.
For six years, Mr. Dixon served as the Corporate Treasurer of the Guinness Peat Group whose subsidiaries were involved in merchant banking, commodity trading, mercantile insurance, fund management, international trade, stockbroking, market making and real estate development and investment.
At BSI, he has managed a senior level consultancy in corporate finance and private wealth management and is an experienced negotiator of corporate loan facilities and project finance.
